Description

The Sears D5590 is the very peak of technology for operator comfort and health in the agriculture industry today.  Combining the premium 5500 seat top with Sears’ patented advanced Active Vibration Reduction System (VRS) suspension it offers the ultimate in ride comfort and support for medium and large agricultural machines.

The very low frequency VRS suspension is a stand-alone, computer controller, system which uses it’s built in sensors to monitor the seat’s movements in real time and sends 500 updates per second to the adjustable damper.  The Motion Master damper is filled with MR fluid, a type of smart fluid which changes it’s viscosity when a magnetic field is applied to it, varying it’s consistency anywhere between a light runny oil and toothpaste.  By constantly changing the strength of the electromagnetic field the damper automatically adjusts it’s firmness as needed, based on the current driving conditions.  Combined with the Low Natural Frequency Airide spring and a remote air tank, which triples the system volume, this suspension provides superior vibration isolation of below 0.75Hz, cutting vibration transfer by over 50% compared to traditional air suspensions.  Field studies by leading manufacturers have proven that machines fitted with this technology can be driven up to 25-30% faster without impacting operator safety, greatly improving productivity.

Loaded up on features, this seat is highly customizable to fit any operator with adjustable back angle and height, seat cushion angle and length and adjustable, tilt up armrests.  Also boasting heated cushions, electric air lumbar, integrated fore/aft isolator, 24-24 degree swivel and operator presence switch as standard with extra options available.
